What Am I Drinking?! Business Cards

Overview & Challenge

A friend, sommelier, and certified wine specialist founded a business entitled What Am I Drinking, geared toward educating the public on the intricacies of wine and wine culture. She wanted a logo and branding package that was welcoming and modern, the opposite of existing cliché and pretentious wine education groups.

Audience

What Am I Drinking’s primary audience was those who wanted to learn more about wine in a casual, fun and non-judgmental atmosphere. In addition, she wanted to attract more knowledgeable wine enthusiasts.

Approach

Through thorough research of existing wine enthusiast and sommelier websites, I sketched out close to 50 different logos. The logo selected, which is both a wine glass and a question mark, can be used as a logotype or a standalone icon/mark. The typeface was selected because it was both modern and fun, without being comical or too light-hearted.
