Harcati Custom Motorcycles
Overview & Challenge
A local Eastside Seattle motorcycle builder asked me to build him a mobile-friendly, responsive website he could update himself. Each motorcycle can be customized with the client’s favorite color, so one of the biggest features the client wanted was the ability for clients to click and see all the various color differences of his motorcycles. He also wanted all of his social media accounts connected, as well as a blog to update his subscribers on a routine basis.
One of the biggest challenges was the Photoshop work involved changing and modifying the various motorcycle color choices. I did not design the logo itself, but designed the site around the theme/typeface of the client’s logo.

Approach
As with all website work I do, the project starts with a thorough site audit to ensure navigation and page hierarchy is clear and concise. Once that is complete, wireframes are supplied to the client showing the home page and a couple sample internal pages (depending on needs). The next step is static design comps created in InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop and once that is approved, the final sight is built using a custom theme coded by me in the WordPress CMS. Training is also provided for the client so they can edit the site themselves.
