Don’t Get Swept Away Transit Shelter Ad
Overview & Challenge
While working for Kaneen Advertising & Public Relations in Tucson, I was tasked to create a transit shelter advertisement/poster for both the City of Tucson and the Tucson Fire Department, warning children not to play in washes.
The challenges while working at Kaneen and its numerous public-sector clients were the limited budgets and a drawn out design process due to how many people had to approve the art.
This poster won a local Silver Addy award.
Audience
Primarily faculty, staff and students at the College of Optical Sciences.
Approach
I took the lead on this project, coordinating and directing the photoshoot with the fire fighter and young girl and her family. The day of the shoot, it was actually a bright, sunny day with no water in the wash. The dark clouds and flash flood water were added digitally during the creation of the poster.
